About Path

Workplace Wellness Works.

Research has shown that unhealthy employees cost companies productivity and money. The CDC reports that chronic, preventable diseases account for 75 percent of total healthcare costs, and a recent Milken Institute study found that absenteeism due to employee illness costs companies more than $1.1 trillion in lost productivity.

The average employee has at least two risk factors linked to increased healthcare costs, decreased productivity and increased absenteeism. Among the top five are obesity, heart disease and metabolic syndrome, which includes high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and large waist circumference.

If a company takes no action, they can expect healthcare costs to increase at an average rate of about 6 to 12 percent each year. However, employee wellness programs have been proven to help contain the current epidemic of lifestyle-related diseases that are the main drivers of healthcare costs. According to The Institute for Healthcare Consumerism, workplace wellness programs have produced an average reduction of 26 percent in healthcare costs; 30 percent in workers’ compensation and disability management claims; and 28 percent in sick days.

Investing in the health of your employees today will pay for itself tomorrow – resulting in lower health insurance claims and costs, increased employee productivity and better workplace morale.

Why Outsource Your Wellness?

You are busy juggling the demands of running your business. You and/or your HR team don’t have the time or the expertise to design and manage a wellness program, or to negotiate contracts with fitness centers or track down resources that may or may not be a fit for every member of your team.

PATH brings the wellness to your workplace.

With our combined experience in nutrition, health and exercise science, we understand the importance of evaluating each employee’s health and lifestyle history; creating individualized risk management plans; and providing the encouragement and motivation for your staff to stay engaged and see results.

Particular emphasis is placed on fitness, nutrition, stress management and sleep, and on avoiding chronic illness as well as improving employee lifestyle choices and lowering health risks. Employees can be rewarded with incentives including contests, flex time benefits, gift cards, merchandise and cash rewards.

Our PATH to workplace wellness is accessible and affordable for businesses with 10 to 200+ employees that do not have a corporate wellness initiative in place. We offer a variety of program options on a retainer basis, with contract commitments ranging from three to 12 months.
